Thank you for being a supporter of abmbworkouts.com."Better Health. Better Self"
The Weekly Word includes 3 elements.
1. My ‘Why’ behind the Verse chosen
2. How it relates to me personally throughout life in general and an exercising stand point.
3. An option for YOU to reflect in the same way I do whether you want to speak on both life and exercise or life by itself. The choice is always yours!
The ‘Why’ behind this weeks Verse:
Better Health. Better Self
How It Relates to My Life:
Well, hence the name of my brand and overall objective of the mission behind it , you may find it clear on how this scripture goes hand in hand with my lifestyle. I wanted to tap into it from a perspective where even someone who isn’t a fitness professional would still want to abide by it. When you think of a temple, you think grand, you think royalty and overall a precious sanction that deserves the most honor/respect. Our body’s really are as such. They are reflections of what we welcome into them through the choices we make. In order to honor God at our best while here on earth we have to make sure we are at our best health to function while being there for ourselves and our loved ones. Think about how you feel after eating a donut and overly sugared up coffee vs a balanced breakfast including oats , a healthy protein source , healthy source of fat and fruit/ natural fruit juices (or any nutritionally balanced breakfast based off of your tolerance/ preferences) . When a balanced breakfast is done consistently along with including healthy snacks and physical activity it’ll have you feeling more energized as you approach the rest of your day. You can progressively feel less fatigued and begin to eliminate daily headaches along with many other factors that can come with overly consuming highly sweetened foods and too much caffeine. You must eat healthy consistently along with keeping your body in the best shape you are capable of even if it means starting small such as drinking more water and cutting out fried foods on week days then controlling your portions when you do decide to have a treat day on a designated rest day from your exercise regiment. I was actually just telling a client of mine how we can use Thanksgiving Week coming up in November as a prime example. When you make up your mind to pursue a health and wellness journey , life still continues to occur so family events and temptation will still be around. Here’s how you gauge those situations, on Thanksgiving Week say you made up your mind that you’re going to workout Monday , Tuesday , Wednesday, take a rest day on Thanksgiving Thursday , then resume exercising again Friday by following along with an online ABMB video via YouTube. During that week you would make sure that you refrain from indulging in sweets and fried foods on days you exercise but the great news is you could reward yourself on Thanksgiving while vibing with family and friends! You could eat what you wanted that day without over indulging too much, knowing that you earned the right to treat yourself by showing discipline during those other week days. When you honor your body , you can also honor your desires to indulge in certain foods but you just have to balance it out correctly where the vast majority is you eating what’s healthy and the smaller , much smaller percentage of the time would be you treating yourself with that one snack or treat meal during a weekly rest day you choose , all while keeping in mind to still control your portions. God made our bodies as precious temples to shell our spirts so we either have the decision to use our temple or abuse it. The choice is always ours. Stay healthy , treat yourself occasionally and your Temple will be one of the highest quality and worth. Our Health & Our Time are the most valuable assets we have so if we take care of those the best we can , we can expect the most vibrant life God has to offer for us.
